"With Pelzig I would understand."


With its clever young citizen-art figure "Pelzig" Frank Markus Barwasser a TV audience of millions known ("News from the institution" and "Pelzig holds"). In the last program I chose the term "trust" from which I have developed the program then. An important concept in the new program is "self-deception." I'm looking for is always a theme that guides me. I arrange everything and then start to take things to such a close look at whether the policy is now, or society itself. It was also interesting for me to activate after several years break, the stage two gentlemen and Dr. Hartmut Göbel again. What issues would you bring to TV formats, "News from the institution" and "Pelzig keeps" under what stage in the program, you have two folders for material collection? What this regard are the major differences in terms of approach?
In an evening program can be some drama to build and thoughts can develop slowly over a longer period and can be varied. This is in TV difficult. Here you have to come within three or four minutes on the dot. Both have their charm. Stage and TV will benefit from each other. What was your motivation to be active cabaret, what were the first steps after an internship at the main post?
They were small steps that led into the cabaret. It started first with puppet theater. And then one day I was standing with both feet and up to their necks in the cabaret. Since I could not get out. More difficult was the beginning for me, that the figure needs Pelzig a while to climb out of the drawer in which you put it, judging only by outward appearance. You must already have it some time.
What can / should / will cabaret? Has this happened to you regarding a perception change?
If you manage to develop some original, interesting and funny thoughts that can bring the audience and then it still working, then that's a lot. The effect of the cabaret, you can not overestimate enough otherwise.
Hypothetically: Markus Frank Erwin Pelzig Barwasser and come in a Wurzburg wine bar this week. How would they get along, what would they talk, there are similarities, what are the biggest differences between the two personalities?
With Pelzig I would understand me in the wine bar with good safety and talk about exactly the issues that he - or actually I - treated on the stage. Unlike me, he is quite right. And he has something almost touchingly optimistic self. This is a trait that I must do my best to the very much stronger than him.
Are there any new medium Pelzig projects, such as once a movie or a play?
Now I am first is that I'm back on stage solo. Otherwise, I agree with the Jewish proverb: if you want to make God laugh, then make a plan.
