Sillyboy - Greek art rock

No idea what I should now just imagine the "art rock", at least to me, the label Justgazing the Greek one-man band whose music Sillyboy made palatable with this term. References to David Bowie will also be present. Definitely sounds like both the single "All the records" as well as free, downloadable Track "supply chain" very good - the music is more in the direction of atmospheric and reminds me a bit of Gusgus, while the other song to please with a lot more guitar white. Both are on the second appearing in September Fnd album "Nature of Things".

Melt! Festival 2012

120714 SF 6833 e1342566861822 Melt! Festival 2012 recap
The last days I was very pleased with the Melt! Preparation and nacherholung busy, so the long break from writing. For me, the festival went off on Thursday evening in the pouring rain in Gräfenhainichen. After the Friends welcomed the tents set up and the first beers were drunk, it was like in previous years, also one of the camping parties. Fittingly, the biggest party took a couple of tents from our home base Removes place and it was pretty much left out after the first people began to crowd surf. On the next morning was on the turf is not much left.

On Friday it started with the first band and I've finally done it this year more than five acts to see. Caribou has me very much. Although the details are a little blurry, but still a good feeling. Bloc Party also provided a very good show and have proven that they have not already should be sent into retirement. The highlights for me was M83, where we just got to fit "Midnight City." The tune from the moment I buzzed around in my head constantly, even during my exam on Monday when I could not concentrate too hard otherwise.

For me, and remains Melt! the best festival in Germany. The selection of the bands is excellent, crazy people and the area unique. Thank you melt! - I'm looking forward to next year.

"It Might Get Loud" documentary musical revolution of Jack White, Jimmy Page and The Edge

At the time we made a couple of posts in which we included some of the best music documentaries that are posted on the network. One that I kept wanting to enter at that time was "It Might Get Loud", a delightful documentary directed by David Guggenheim in which we talk about the musical history who have lived three of the greatest icons of history rock & roll: Jack White (the White Stripes), The Edge (U2) and Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin).

Each of these three figures explains the rock revolution that lived at the time. While Page battled pop sweetened the sesente, The Edge fought sixty solos. Jack White, and in the 90, had to contend against the bear hoot that was dragging from the mid-eighties.

Much eye on comments made Page goes along "It Might Loud ', and, above all, the joint action between these three rock idols of the galaxy. Undoubtedly this is a good documentary and subtitled in Spanish!. Want to Rock, thanks for everything.

No Doubt return to the fray with their new single 'Settle Down'

It has taken exactly 11 years to hear new material from No Doubt. We remember his last album, Rock Steady (2001), as one who brought us great songs like 'Hella Good' or 'Running', but that was it, three years later as the group announced its hiatus and Gwen Stefani started her career in alone.

However, No Doubt joins the list of groups that really come back from this break, and in 2008 announced that with their plans to get back together, joined the released a new album. And so we welcome to the September 25 Push And Shove.

'Settle Down' is the new single which have submitted this week to make way for his new album. As you can see, his fresh sound that mixes ska with rock still present, it is the feature point that is associated with the musical rhythms of these Californians. In the video accompanying the song seems to have not spent years to Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Adrian Young and Tom Dumont, for despite the passage of the years we still remember what youth can be both its image and its music. It is also recorded in Los Angeles and has directed Sophie Muller, who worked with them with 'Sunday Morning' or 'Do not Speak'.

On the Edge with JUSTICE "New Lands"

A couple of months ago a stack of extras Barcelona participated in recording a video for JUSTICE. After a long process of post production, and some other adjustments, as we have here the fantastic futuristic music video / sports producer Canada has made to the theme of 'New Lands'. The end result of viewing is overwhelming: the special effects are entirely worthy of this great song (have not you remember intro to one of the classic hits of AC / DC?) And cyberpunk atmosphere goes hand in glove with the as robotic feeling of the song.

Maybe you do not know it but Canada is not a very novel in the art of performing music. Reviewing his historical work done you can check that the company has been behind the remarkable music as 'Shine' by Pegasvs, 'Invisible Light' by Scissor Sisters, 'Ice Cream' of Gloss Drop or 'All In White' from the British band Vaccines. In its day of 'Invisible Light' but I really liked this latest 'New Lands' I think without doubt the ultimate of created by the director of Barcelona.

"With Pelzig I would understand."

With its clever young citizen-art figure "Pelzig" Frank Markus Barwasser a TV audience of millions known ("News from the institution" and "Pelzig holds"). Now returns the 52-year-old Würzburg "Pelzig is itself" with its current program returns to the stage. Before the Munich premiere on Wednesday in the House and other comedy shows in Circus Krone (July 12) and slaughter (18 to 22 July) Barwasser talks about ideas, its cabaret origins and different approach to theater television.
What the viewer will see in "Pelzig arises," why is himself Pelzig?
Above all, he is once again taking to the stage. It was high time. I come from the stage, it is only recently come through the many TV shows for reasons of time too short. But Pelzig naturally takes the contradictions in which he has tracked down and out, especially now in times of deep crisis.
How do the themes of Frank-Markus Barwasser how to turn Pelzig / Hartmut / Dr. Goebel? What took place in the approach of the flow, the ideas for the new program?
In the last program I chose the term "trust" from which I have developed the program then. An important concept in the new program is "self-deception." I'm looking for is always a theme that guides me. I arrange everything and then start to take things to such a close look at whether the policy is now, or society itself. It was also interesting for me to activate after several years break, the stage two gentlemen and Dr. Hartmut Göbel again. Initially, we have gefremdelt something, but now it's the same again: we torture Dr. Goebel and have great pleasure in it.
What issues would you bring to TV formats, "News from the institution" and "Pelzig keeps" under what stage in the program, you have two folders for material collection? What this regard are the major differences in terms of approach?
In an evening program can be some drama to build and thoughts can develop slowly over a longer period and can be varied. This is in TV difficult. Here you have to come within three or four minutes on the dot. Both have their charm. Stage and TV will benefit from each other. Had touched upon in the new program I've picked up some ideas that I was in the "institution" or "holds Pelzig," she was now thoroughly but continue to spin.
What was your motivation to be active cabaret, what were the first steps after an internship at the main post?
They were small steps that led into the cabaret. It started first with puppet theater. And then one day I was standing with both feet and up to their necks in the cabaret. Since I could not get out. And I wanted then did not, although I worked very much like a journalist. The way I work today is still a journalist, too, in terms of research.
Like the fictional character was created Pelzig?
She was initially only one type in a solo program, in which I had represented other figures. Pelzig But from the beginning was a highly popular and very concise. He was then prevailed.
Her performances are always sold out well in advance. Was it in your cabaret career less successful moments, headwind?
Sure, there were initial ideas, for example in Berlin, who did not went well. There were hardly any people there, and after the break were almost all gone. More difficult was the beginning for me, that the figure needs Pelzig a while to climb out of the drawer in which you put it, judging only by outward appearance. You must already have it some time.
What can / should / will cabaret? Has this happened to you regarding a perception change?
If you manage to develop some original, interesting and funny thoughts that can bring the audience and then it still working, then that's a lot. The effect of the cabaret, you can not overestimate enough otherwise.
Hypothetically: Markus Frank Erwin Pelzig Barwasser and come in a Wurzburg wine bar this week. How would they get along, what would they talk, there are similarities, what are the biggest differences between the two personalities?
With Pelzig I would understand me in the wine bar with good safety and talk about exactly the issues that he - or actually I - treated on the stage. Unlike me, he is quite right. And he has something almost touchingly optimistic self. This is a trait that I must do my best to the very much stronger than him.
Are there any new medium Pelzig projects, such as once a movie or a play?
Now I am first is that I'm back on stage solo. Otherwise, I agree with the Jewish proverb: if you want to make God laugh, then make a plan.

The 15 great songs of summer

Each year I feel the same, summer comes and I feel at once an imposing need to hear songs that I'm cool while walking along the beach, sunbathing, playing with friends ... This pachanguillas (pleasant) desire has led me to make a Spotify short list of fifteen of the songs that I think most will listen between June and September this year. Metric, Dana Buoy (the Akron / Family), Atlas Genius, Jezabels, Ryan Monroe ... there's a bit of everything! I've even included the last of Muse ('Survival') to get along little on the net (and Spotify too).

What theme from within, or out of the list will be your summer theme? I'm between 'Before The Dive', 'Call To Be "and" I Belong To Your Arms' dilemma ... go!.
