The red dream factory - film series at the Film Museum Munich
Aelita is one of the films from the film series The Red Dream Factory at the Film Museum MünchenDie this year's Berlinale, which was organized in cooperation with the Munich Film Museum, stands in the history books. Brand New again to record (or try) from April
"Daisy" was much "Daisy". In fact if we look from the perspective of the figures, the fourth LP Brand New was the turning point in the band of Jesse Lacey went from being a successful band to be one of the few alternative rock formations that play in the League of musical stars. Skrillex live in Zenith
Skrillex plays on 27.02.2012 live at the zenith in MünchenMit the big winners at the recent Grammy Awards in Los Angeles 12/2/2012 heard of dubstep rising star Skrillex who - has three times won the coveted trophy - nominated for five Grammys. Freedom of Speech
The new album from Speech Debelle is from Friday, 10 February in German shops.

Find of the week 2009/49
Such dear people,
I know it's already Saturday again and we are with the found object rather late, but that's just the free time blogging. ;-)
Today, this time a find that sometimes does not fit into the usual categories. It comes from a corner of today's music culture, which we've covered so far not so real. I personally find it very interesting because you though if you look busy on a lot of scrap met, but also from time to time out fishing einpaar beads.
It's about mashups and today I want to introduce you one of the first I have run across. Some of you may already know, as it circulates through the network for several years. Nevertheless, I am of course for your comments about this video and your opinions on mashups in general. And perhaps knows of one or the other even einpaar this well-made pearls. Since I'm planning on the finds every 1-2 months again to intersperse a mashup, I would rejoice over suggestions from your side mad. :-)

Rainald Grebe with a new solo program in the Prince Regent Theatre
Rainald Grebe with a new solo program in February 2012 in the Prince Regent Theater, 2.26.2012 MünchenAm presents Cologne's songwriter, actor, comedian and writer Rainald Grebe in the Prince Regent Theatre in Munich, his fourth solo program "The Reinaldgrebekonzert". Focus of this program are songs from his new album "Back to Nature," which he published in September 2011 along with the Chapel of Reconciliation. Since 1989, Grebe operated as a writer, comedian and singer of songs. Early 90s, he set out in the new states to pursue his artistic career. In 1997 he graduated at the Academy of Dramatic Art, Ernst Busch Berlin in puppetry. After appearances at the legendary stage Nonsense Comedy Club in Hamburg in 2000 Grebe found its place as a playwright, actor and theater director at Jena house. After the dissolution of the ensemble in the summer of 2004 he began solo and together with the Chapel of Reconciliation music programming on German cabaret and theater stage play.
His new solo program "The Reinaldgrebekonzert" shows him as close as never before. "Never was Rainald Grebe intimate than this evening," the gala. With his third solo program "The Hong Kong concert," Grebe was finally on tour in 2009. In December of that year celebrated his play "The Karl May Festival in Leipzig" premiere. A month later he presented at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin with the participation of some actors of the ensemble's production of "Back to Nature - A concert for city dwellers" in front. His new play "The Wild Wide World show" was performed on 27.01.2011 in Leipzig Central Theatre for the first time.
After Grebe had expanded the Chapel of Reconciliation, 2010 at more musicians to the orchestra of reconciliation, he played in Berlin on 18/06/2011 forest stage in front of 15,000 visitors a three-hour concert. Ball Season 2012 in the Deutsches Theater in Munich
Ball Season 2012 in the Deutsches Theater in Munich this month will be opened at the Deutsches Theater in Munich again the traditional ball season, as from 28.01. until 20.02.2012 a total of ten dances on the program. The German theater since it opened some 115 years before the ballroom of the elegant city and a popular host of imaginative costume balls and parties. Inaugural Ball in late January, the "ball.total" was already the beginning of 2011 a great success and so it is not surprising that the German theater for its cooperation with the GOP vaudeville theater continued in 2012. The GOP-namely in the dance crew provides breaks for beautiful inlays of upcoming programs of the GOP and the Deutsches Theater. The artists and performers welcome the guests in an elegant foyer and give them a memorable reception to kick off an unforgettable evening.
But of course it must not only be watched, but also danced himself, after all, is the "ball.total" slogan "Let's move". On the guitar, get set - go!
The sample space is too tight you slowly and you are of the opinion that your compositions are ready now for new ears? You want to present your music to a larger audience and have fun, you compete with other bands? Then eucht are applying for muc-King Band Contest 2012!
Organized for the tenth time the afk-rec-play radio project of the Munich-City Regional Youth Music Competition for his new bands. Closing date for applications is 22 February 2012. On four Fridays in April (20./27.4.) And May (4./11.5.) Then climb the preliminary rounds, which are present in 16 young bands and convince the audience can.
The winner of the first round then meet for the grand finale and appear in Spectaculum Mundi.
Of course there are prizes to be won! The winners get the opportunity to play sound recordings in the rec-studio, as well as shopping vouchers wave of Munich, just music and of course lots of new fans.
Participation is open to musicians and bands of all styles from Munich. On average, you should not be older than 24 years, the oldest band member must be a maximum of 27 years old. Fill the application form and note the additional information there. And clear: only original compositions are permitted!

Music is portrayed throughout...

Apart from Rusalka, Dvořák's operas are rarely revived outside the Czech Republic. Quite why is a mystery, particularly when you hear The Jacobin, first performed in 1888. Revived by Jiří Bělohlávek and the BBC Symphony as part of their Czech opera series, it's a complex comedy that deals with themes of exile and return, and the power of music to affect lives.
We're in the aftermath of the French Revolution. Czech idealist Bohuš returns with his wife, Julie, from France after becoming disillusioned with politics, only to find himself branded a Jacobin and disinherited. But change, he soon realises, is also needed in his home town, where the mayor is using his authority to press his attentions on Terinka, the spirited daughter of a local music teacher, and have her lover, Jiří, conscripted into the army.
Music is portrayed throughout as a humanising force capable of bringing about social harmony, so it's no wonder Dvor˘ák professed himself in love with his subject. It's a great score. The final father-son reconciliation is perhaps on a lesser level than the rest of it, but elsewhere the music seethes with inventiveness, as one terrific folk-based number follows another.
Bělohlávek and his mostly Czech cast were in their element with it, too. Bělohlávek has done nothing finer. The singing was consistently sensational: Svatopluk Sem's noble Bohuš, Dana Burešová's Julie, Ales Vorácek's plucky Jiří and Jaroslav Březina as the fussy music teacher Benda were particularly outstanding. A joy and a privilege to hear.

"Balloon Pilot" is a great new band..
Balloon pilot celebrate music with which one can meet their own melancholy without worry. Here, the soul does the moon walk is a big step in itself - and for once just a small step for mankind.
The debut CD from a total Ballloon pilot convinced by unobtrusive arrangements, carried by the rhythm section of Andrew Haberl (drums, also known as the drummer of The Notwist) and Benny Shepherd (b), which are already in the Jazz Combo "max.bab" a name have made. The taste-instrumentalist Radi safe Radojewski (guitar) and Tobias Koark-Haberl (keys, vocals) shape the sound of this new formation around the singer, songwriter and head of the band: Matze breast man.
As a result, timeless songs that blows the mind of Elliot Smith.
