Bipolarity millimeter in 'Upstairs' by Young Buffalo

In September we touch the climax thanks to 'Nature Boy', an affordable piece of Young Buffalo surprising for their freshest Afropop. By then it seemed impossible to come out another piece of the Mississippi duo came to like us more but ... surprise! Just a few hours ago we discovered another bombing Americans. A hit of these organic showing two faces: one more Afropop, with softer tones and pleasant, and a rock and electric.

Without further ado here we leave you with the great song of the week. It is entitled 'Upstairs' and its sound configuration that resembles a hair 'Inhaler' Foals that perplexed us a couple of weeks ago. If you like I recommend you listen to the EP you cast of Young Buffalo via Spotify. Admit it: is tremendísimo.

Listen 'Non-State Actor', another new theme Soundgarden

Just a few hours that has been uploaded to the network with a new complete song (no snippets this time) of Soundgarden. The piece in question is titled 'Non-State Actor' and will be the second of those presented in the final tracklist anticipated "Animal King" which will be released in final form on 13 November. Listen to below:

Somewhat themed protest ("We're not Elected, but we will speak '- Chris Cornell says in one verse),' Non-State Actor 'has a wild garden full of authentic riffs, which takes special role of the mechanical virtuosity Thayil and torn, and in this case something moderate, Cornell's vocal ability. Without being anything special extension this song is more styled, furious and accelerated 'Live To Rise', that composition already appeared on the soundtrack of the film "The Avengers".

It is only two weeks to get "Animal King" into our hands. We're running out of nails!

Listen to "Anthology", the double live album from Thrice

There have been some incredible years we have lived with Thrice. Release after release, the band has gone Dustin Kensrue altering the intensity of their stylistic waves, passing from the post-hardcore more visceral than its beginnings to the sleek metal and alternative charge of their last two LPS ("Beggars" and "Major / Minor "). There have been many kilometers they have traveled together, and this has finished running so much that they have not been other than separate. And this time it was not so sad, Thrice just released a double live album entitled "Anthology".

Comprised of 24 songs, "Anthology" captures the energy and power of the performances of these guys. With smaller interpretations of classics like 'The Artist In The Ambulance', 'Come All You Weary', 'The Weight' or 'Anthology' (one of our favorite songs of 2011), this double LP has become the best gift for any fan of this great band.

This double disc can be played in full, and free of charge, through the web of OCWeekly.

The grotesque 'Walk Of Shame' Perfume Genius in 'Take Me Home'

Not a few who are surrendering this year at the foot of Perfume Genius. With "Learning" in 2010 there was a first warning, but it was not until the release of "Put Your Back N 2 It" (2012) that has come true spread of the sensationalism of melodic ballads aframbuesadas Seattle musician. And is not that Mike reveals Hadreas fire with their songs, but her voice is so special that even in subjects like 'Hood' notice that our heart beats more rapidly. Another great song is this second LP 'Take Me Home', which features new single from right now with a video directed by Patrick sober Sher, who long ago and was behind the camera for 'Lookout, Lookout' Perfume Genius.

Wearing a football jersey, and keeping the balance with difficulty with a gaudy heels, Hadreas Mike does in the clip one of the 'Walks Of Shame' more grotesque than those seen to date. And in the video does not explain anything to us, and where it comes Mike (assume that a restless night with the driver of the car that appears at the beginning), nor does near the port area, or any details concerning the reasons for this situation. But there he is, trying hard to so deplorable that time were to have some sort of dignity. With glamorous movements, body swaying as if in the Cibeles and not in a grim industrial zone and peripheral.

The Black Keys return to start recording their next album in early 2013

In late June I inform you that The Black Keys were going to come in July to record their next album. Today, more than two months after launching the news, we learned a few more details concerning the present and future of that group that ate the world with the release of "Brothers" and "The Way."

"We spent a week in the studio" - admits Auerback on the famous U.S. publication. Apparently it was not the "most productive session" but he and drummer Patrick Carney took various ideas and start pulling miles. The bad about it? That as now are locked in a huge tour - we remember pass through Madrid in two months - is more than certain that The Black Keys will not record anything again until early 2013. "Do not end up [the LP] until March and we rotate a lot, but we'll see" - said the other part of the band: Patrick Carney.

Asked about the style of the successor of "The Way" Auerbach was very direct. "We never know what comes out when recording. We do not talk about it. Not planned. Just started recording everything takes shape and just having a clear idea. "According to the singer and guitarist "every album by The Black Keys represents a snapshot of a particular moment. We like that arise in this way, as purely spontaneous. "

For now the two artists still have no idea if they will produce the album themselves or they have the help of someone like Danger Mouse, producer who was behind his last three LPs. What has become clear is that the production of the album is going to make a fulminant so that, if all goes well, we may have in our hands the compact to fall / winter of next 2013. There are desires, right?

The singer of Band Of Horses will work in the new Biffy Clyro

Unexpected news that was published in yesterday, Ben Bridwell, Band Of Horses singer will collaborate on two tracks on the new double disc Biffy Clyro. "Opposites", which is how this release will be titled, will go on sale in early 2013, but we do not know the exact date of departure of the double LP.
Talking to NME, Bridwell revealed the birth of this vibrant collaboration. "I received an email from his A & R representative asking if we would be interested in singing a few songs. I'm a big fan of those guys, especially their last album, so I went crazy to read all this. I could not believe it. " - Ben claimed the British magazine. "Simon [Neil] and I got in touch and talk about it at various times. Months later, he called me and said they were ready to pull miles. At that time we were in the cycle and other promotional interviews, so finding time did not seem an option. But Bill [Reynolds, Band Of Horses bassist] and I set up a small recording device in the room of our hotel. We shout as loud as we could. "
Another incredible fact was that Ben Bridwell tried to realize the possibility of including the voice of Neil Simon and his two companions in one of the new songs from "Mirage Rock", the new album that will be released on 18 September (and has already been leaked on the net). "We wanted to sing a song called 'Dumpster World'. Even Simon sent it to me to see if I could get to like, but in the end the thing was diverted by jurisdictions that were out of our script. But yes, in the future I would love something happen. I think it would sound great on Biffy Clyro album Band Of Horses ".
While we dream of the result of these two issues, here we leave you with the live performance that Band Of Horses and Jim Jones of My Morning Jacket performed the new song 'Cruel Slow Hands'. Soon, very soon you will have on this website an extensive review of the new LP of the band of horses.

Discovering the (brilliant) new howling sound of Two Gallants

For the generic sweetness should never be considered better than the bitter taste. Everything depends on the context, situation and especially the palate of the person who will enjoy this dish. Is this strange way (I admit, that to resume work routine kills me) I come to explain how tasty it is the sink your teeth into the latest proposal musical Two Gallants, one of those duos who became known for his fame folkera more melodic, and now brighter than ever with a folk / rock filthy and vibrant.

I have had the opportunity to listen to "The Bloom And The Blight" on several occasions and I can not stop thinking about the brutal change Adam and Stephen have lived in the past two years. Now much of his melodies make the duo in solitary wolves that wandered in deserts of Nevada, howling crying to heaven for their misfortunes and miseries.

We have never seen so attuned to Californians, as rabid and as acojonantemente monumental. And a true reflection of this new face of Two Gallants is found in 'Halcyon Days', one that opens "The Bloom and The Blight" and that it will be facing one of the best songs that we will hear in this 2012. Does the review / review of the new LP of this couple? Soon, very soon.

Canterbury, winning integers "Heavy In The Day"

I look back and I remember in late 2009 when I began to hear something of a British group. Canterbury was called, produced an alternative rock trend somewhat pop / punk and seemed to point ways. From that point until now have spent a total of three long years, in which Luke Prebble and hers have been progressing very slowly and deliberately.

His first feature - "Thank You" - Canterbury managed to convince me that this group had much gunpowder hidden. Occasional single was out soon after but it was not until the release of "Heavy In The Day" we could enjoy some pure muscle and intuit a couple of years ago. Do not believe me? You still think that Canterbury sound like when they released 'Diver'? Yeah? Then give him to play these videos of 'Something Better' and 'Gloria' and see. The DNA of the group has suffered a minor change that has made them turn to a rock and carved least softened. The pop let have been sidelined in order to distance himself from that formula definitely punk / pop both generic sector reject some formations.

If you are in search of a refreshing new album of rock that I ended up completing this final stretch of August, here's the Canterbury. And in Spotify! Imperdible.

Are you one of those drivers requiring cane? Do not worry, the next playlist will have everything you need to go crazy at the wheel.

Here they are with their empire: Boysetsfire live theater in the factory

Nathan Gray von boysetsfire
The American post-hardcore band boysetsfire on 13.08.2012 the factory theater in Munich Optimol is unsafe. The best known is the quintet around singer Nathan Gray, certainly for the hit "Empire" from the last studio album, "The Misery Index: Notes From The Plague Years" from 2006. Anyone who thinks, however, that it's been quiet since the publication of boysetsfire, is wrong. 2009, a live double-DVD was released, on which the European farewell tour is held in place by boysetsfire from 2007 to last. The two farewell concerts from 08 and 06.09.2007 at the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States were filmed for this DVD. Said tour marked the end of the year to date, 13-band's career - at least initially.

From Panda and other nudes

typ tanzt
Some events are simply cult and firmly rooted in a locality. This can be said for topless festival anyway. But this year everything changed.
The topless Festival - from the county youth wrestling Munich City and Munich-held land - is now an integral part of Munich's cultural scene. For years, rock bands, along with junior national top notch artists on stage at the old fairground. This year however it was for fear of mass panic, a new venue: the Munich Trade Fair at the Fair City East.
Otherwise, not just famous for its charm, but the corner of the town was well chosen: the number of space in and around the area prevented the crowd and the festival-typical Gekuschel durchgeschwitzen with young rockers. And it was also enough room for all who wanted to take advantage of the whole rather than chilled-afternoon picnic and Hackysack with music.
The show opened on the still somewhat clumsy looking trio's ghostwriter, whose hip-hop swagger that reminded one more of the "cool kids gangsta" than truly thoughtful rap.
The next band was there already upbeat way: The Ragtag tone, an Otto Brunner band that had come together for self-assertion in a wafer baking project in the school kitchen, animated with funky reggae and Skatönen the first to carefully sleepy dance moves.
And who was not awake yet, it was in 3000 then definitely Django: The mixture of charm and oberbayrischem Gypsy-pop that reminds us of the kindness of his five boys from LaBrassBanda fit, just perfect for the young, culturally broad range of cross-over event, giving the party back to what it lacks in some places a bit: Local reference. While most people were - especially newcomers - from the Bavarian area, but some ask you something, if that alone is already qualifying for such a big stage yet.
The highlight of the party was then but without question the 20-year old rapper Cro. He was also the artist that this had come (now) night with the feeling's largest fan base: Everywhere you romped looked the panda head shapes, girls with the EASY logo on the chest (some apparently was the name of the event program) to the Gesotteten quite hard, which had probably used their entire morning with panda-war paint on his face. Meanwhile, there was a long time no food on the whole site, the queues at the only beer stand reminded crowds at hoarding (for up to two hours waiting time was not such a bad idea!) And delicate drizzle was the attention to the tents of advertising partners exponentially shoot into the air, but still: The boiled mood, successful project party.
Finally, still gave the boys of motor club's honor: What say you? Great band, great show, fantastic Mucke. But more is not made personally offended for reasons stated on the show: The promised interview with the band was quickly canceled by the boys "because is'nich". Bah, here is the retort: You wanted a live report? Sorry, I gotta go now ...

Sillyboy - Greek art rock

No idea what I should now just imagine the "art rock", at least to me, the label Justgazing the Greek one-man band whose music Sillyboy made palatable with this term. References to David Bowie will also be present. Definitely sounds like both the single "All the records" as well as free, downloadable Track "supply chain" very good - the music is more in the direction of atmospheric and reminds me a bit of Gusgus, while the other song to please with a lot more guitar white. Both are on the second appearing in September Fnd album "Nature of Things".

Melt! Festival 2012

120714 SF 6833 e1342566861822 Melt! Festival 2012 recap
The last days I was very pleased with the Melt! Preparation and nacherholung busy, so the long break from writing. For me, the festival went off on Thursday evening in the pouring rain in Gräfenhainichen. After the Friends welcomed the tents set up and the first beers were drunk, it was like in previous years, also one of the camping parties. Fittingly, the biggest party took a couple of tents from our home base Removes place and it was pretty much left out after the first people began to crowd surf. On the next morning was on the turf is not much left.

On Friday it started with the first band and I've finally done it this year more than five acts to see. Caribou has me very much. Although the details are a little blurry, but still a good feeling. Bloc Party also provided a very good show and have proven that they have not already should be sent into retirement. The highlights for me was M83, where we just got to fit "Midnight City." The tune from the moment I buzzed around in my head constantly, even during my exam on Monday when I could not concentrate too hard otherwise.

For me, and remains Melt! the best festival in Germany. The selection of the bands is excellent, crazy people and the area unique. Thank you melt! - I'm looking forward to next year.

"It Might Get Loud" documentary musical revolution of Jack White, Jimmy Page and The Edge

At the time we made a couple of posts in which we included some of the best music documentaries that are posted on the network. One that I kept wanting to enter at that time was "It Might Get Loud", a delightful documentary directed by David Guggenheim in which we talk about the musical history who have lived three of the greatest icons of history rock & roll: Jack White (the White Stripes), The Edge (U2) and Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin).

Each of these three figures explains the rock revolution that lived at the time. While Page battled pop sweetened the sesente, The Edge fought sixty solos. Jack White, and in the 90, had to contend against the bear hoot that was dragging from the mid-eighties.

Much eye on comments made Page goes along "It Might Loud ', and, above all, the joint action between these three rock idols of the galaxy. Undoubtedly this is a good documentary and subtitled in Spanish!. Want to Rock, thanks for everything.

No Doubt return to the fray with their new single 'Settle Down'

It has taken exactly 11 years to hear new material from No Doubt. We remember his last album, Rock Steady (2001), as one who brought us great songs like 'Hella Good' or 'Running', but that was it, three years later as the group announced its hiatus and Gwen Stefani started her career in alone.

However, No Doubt joins the list of groups that really come back from this break, and in 2008 announced that with their plans to get back together, joined the released a new album. And so we welcome to the September 25 Push And Shove.

'Settle Down' is the new single which have submitted this week to make way for his new album. As you can see, his fresh sound that mixes ska with rock still present, it is the feature point that is associated with the musical rhythms of these Californians. In the video accompanying the song seems to have not spent years to Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Adrian Young and Tom Dumont, for despite the passage of the years we still remember what youth can be both its image and its music. It is also recorded in Los Angeles and has directed Sophie Muller, who worked with them with 'Sunday Morning' or 'Do not Speak'.

On the Edge with JUSTICE "New Lands"

A couple of months ago a stack of extras Barcelona participated in recording a video for JUSTICE. After a long process of post production, and some other adjustments, as we have here the fantastic futuristic music video / sports producer Canada has made to the theme of 'New Lands'. The end result of viewing is overwhelming: the special effects are entirely worthy of this great song (have not you remember intro to one of the classic hits of AC / DC?) And cyberpunk atmosphere goes hand in glove with the as robotic feeling of the song.

Maybe you do not know it but Canada is not a very novel in the art of performing music. Reviewing his historical work done you can check that the company has been behind the remarkable music as 'Shine' by Pegasvs, 'Invisible Light' by Scissor Sisters, 'Ice Cream' of Gloss Drop or 'All In White' from the British band Vaccines. In its day of 'Invisible Light' but I really liked this latest 'New Lands' I think without doubt the ultimate of created by the director of Barcelona.
